Our Mission
Angels Bearing Gifts brings happiness to people with developmental disabilities who have no one to remember them by providing gifts on birthdays and holidays. We foster compassion within the community towards those with developmental disabilities via year-round educational outreach and volunteer activities.
Who we serve
Project Angels Bearing Gifts serves individuals with developmental disabilities and other challenges. Because these individuals need help and support, most adults with developmental disabilities live in group homes. A smaller segment live in apartments or homes where professionals check on them regularly.
Individuals are referred to Angels Bearing Gifts by local agencies, which include Alpha Resource Center, Hinchee House, the Office of Advocacy, Work Training Programs, Hillside House, Devereux, and United Cerebral Palsy. Such agencies are state-supported, often providing funding for the basic needs only of those served.
Angels works closely with Tri-Counties Regional Center, which provides living expense support to most individuals with developmental disabilities, but which cannot, by law, donate gifts to those it serves. This is where Angels Bearing Gifts steps in.
